| At times we do allow clients to provide their own Emcee, however we do not recommend this. An Emcee that is not trained by AllStar Professional DJ’s may portray a bad image on our company by wording things incorrectly and / or saying the wrong things at the wrong times. A trained experienced Emcee is basically in a sense, going to run the whole reception. An untrained Emcee will end up being trained to some degree by AllStar Professional DJ’s on What to say, How to lead into things, How to give signals to DJ, How to receive signals from DJ, How to be energetic in speech, How to explain certain activities, How to speak into and use our microphones and know what is not acceptable to say or do over the microphone as this is a direct portrayal of our companies wedding DJ and Emcee service, They must also know the range of the microphones and how to correct any problems if they exceed this. If you do choose to provide your own Emcee, please make sure they are dressed appropriately for the wedding and that they meet with us as soon as we arrive to go over everything. In addition the Emcee needs to be made available to us at all times, we should not need to go looking for or try to find an Emcee. A back up Emcee will still be on location as well, as our Emcees are trained to give breaks to the DJ, Help set up equipment, and Run correspondence from the DJ to the Bride and Groom or wedding planner / event coordinator. With all this being said, we do not provide any discounts for supplying your own Emcee. If anything, it makes it a little bit harder for us, but we want to do all we can to make you happy and have your wedding turn out spectacular. After all, your wedding is a very special day! |
